Thought I'd share a couple of the recent "mechanisms of injury" I've seen lately at work. Keep in mind that this is in a totally anonymous/ethical fashion (as per U.S. Synthetic Turf Society of America policy), intended for amusement and/or worker's comp reform only:
-"Fast Walking" (this was a dude who had been on medical leave for a week... he kept correcting me that when he hurt his leg he wasn't 'just walking around' like I had said, but "walking around really fast"... he got to go back to work that day.)
-"Got hit in the head by a duck" (what the?!?)
-"I think my uniform gave me a rash on my scalp" (were you wearing your shorts as a turban?)
-"Carbon monoxide poisoning" (you... weren't... near... combustion!)
-"A bee stung me" (that's a zit.)
-"My costume gave me a rash" (which has persisted despite you being on vacation for the past week... you have scabies, dude.)
I get so excited when someone actually has a real injury...
