Hello? Yeah I'm at the doctor's office...

A big THANK YOU to the 80% of people who voted for "answer your cell phone" as the correct response to how to prepare for pulmonary auscultation in our recent poll.  I'm assuming that you guys were joking, because I know who reads this blog and you're all pretty funny.  But please... spread the word, because I can assure you that there are a whole lot of people out there who just aren't making the connection.  I'm seriously going to snap one of these days, and someone is going to wind up with one of those blinky little blue ear thingies up their colon.  Although that's not specifically addressed in the Hippocratic oath, I'm pretty sure it's frowned upon in the medical community.
